Stihl 056 AV Magnum II is stronger than the MS660 (7hp), and this chain saw is in Excellent Condition!
This unit is perfect for an Alaskan Saw Mill.
This Professional Grade Chainsaw has been checked out thoroughly. I always replace worn parts, but this chainsaw was taken care of amazingly well, and just needed a new chain, rim sprocket, and spark plug.
Note on Bar Size: if you need a bigger bar, let me know what size, and I'll check to see if I have one to fit it. I do not recommend a smaller bar, as this saw is just too powerful. Alternatively, if you do not want a bar and chain, but only the powerhead, subtract $80 from price.
TRADES: will trade for silver coins, selected survival equipment, or running propane/diesel generator, other stuff?
Note: this model has a kick-back paddle in front of the handle, but does not come with chain break, so is only recommended for professionals or those who are accustomed to using a professional chainsaw, and know how to properly handle a large chainsaw.
Comes with new chain that has been tweaked for aggressive cutting, new bar cover, new scrench, and warranty. Warranty covers defects in materials and workmanship and does not have a specified period. If there is an issue some time in the future, if due to defects in materials or workmanship, I fix at no charge. This does not cover issues related to misuse, external damage, lean seizure (running with not enough or incorrect 2-cycle oil mixed into the gas), and any number of ways a user can intentionally or accidentally damage a chainsaw. Only covers defects in materials and workmanship. Note: skip chain allows longer bar with higher speed and smoother chain movement, which generally results in faster cutting.
This Stihl chain saw should last for at least 10 years of regular home use, or at least 2 years of daily commercial use, before major work is required.
This chainsaw has been tuned for 40:1 *full synthetic* 2-cycle oil. To support warranty on the core of the engine, you must use full synthetic 2-cycle oil. Using the wrong type of oil, or not using full synthetic 2-cycle oil, or mixing higher ratio 2-cycle oil than 40:1 will void the warranty on the core of the engine. For reference, I have replaced a cylinder for free when a C-clip caused the seizure, because that is a defect in materials, but I do not cover lean seizure as the owner is responsible to mix the 2-cycle oil properly as stated above. Also note that using bar oil in the gas will destroy the engine very quickly, causing seizure and coating the internals with a dark gray sticky coating that forces engine failure.
You must always use *bar* oil, not used motor oil. Although it will pump through the bar oil system, the following will happen: a) your bar will burn on bottom, b) your chain will stretch prematurely. The reason is that bar oil has a stickiness agent that resists flying off at the end of the bar, but motor oil
(used or new), does not, which leaves the bottom bar under oiled.
Price is firm. However, if you don't want a warranty, you can subtract $50 from price.
